The Aligarh Muslim University has denied receipt of any letter from the Central Vigilance Commission against the Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, as reported in today’s newspaper.
Mr. Khaliquzzaman, a retired Section Officer at AMU had reportedly made an online complaint to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through the “Public Grievance Portal” seeking redressal of his grievances. The University has already responded to his complaint by uploading its replies on the portal.

A two-day National Seminar on ‘Muslim Education and Employment in post-Sachar Scenario: Initiatives and Achievements’ today started at the University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University. The Seminar, which has been organized by the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, AMU, will have its valedictory function on August 2.
The Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association, Hyderabad has donated Rs. 1,21,600/- towards the AMU Alumni Fund.
A cheque for this amount was today presented to the Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah by Mr. Shahid Husain on behalf of the Honorary Secretary of the alumni body, Mr. Sajjad Shahid. Mr. Husain appreciated the exemplary efforts of the Vice Chancellor to strengthen the University’s corpus.
The Anti Corruption Branch of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Ghaziabad has registered a case against Group Captain Shahrukh Shamshad, Ex-Registrar of the Aligarh Muslim University. The University has received a letter from the Head of the Anti-Corruption Branch to this effect.

Dr. APJ Kalam was conferred upon the Honorary D.Sc. Degree on 18th June, 2008 in the 58th Annual Convocation of the Aligarh Muslim University.
